Gift Cards in Shoply Retail System

Gift cards are codes with a specific monetary value and expiry date that you can give to your customers. These cards allow customers to receive discounts on their purchases. Follow the steps below to create and manage gift cards in Shoply.

Creating a Gift Card

1. Navigate to the Gift Cards Page:

   Go to the Gift Cards page in your Shoply dashboard.

2. Add a New Card:

   Click the Add Card button.

3. Card Number:

   Enter the 16-digit card number, or generate a random one by clicking the Generate button.

4. Value:

   Enter the fixed value of the card, such as 100 or 200. Ensure this is a fixed amount and not a percentage.

5. Expiration Date:

   Enter the expiration date of the card, or leave it blank if you want the card to never expire. Use the calendar icon to select a date.

6. Add Gift Card:

   After entering all the information, click the Add Gift Card button to save the card.

Managing Gift Cards

You can manage all gift cards from the Gift Cards page. Actions available include:

• Delete a Gift Card:

  Click the delete icon to remove a card.

• Edit Gift Card Details:

  Click the edit icon to modify the card details.

• View a Gift Card:

  Click the view icon to see the card information.

• Print a Gift Card:

  Click the print button to print the card.

Exporting and Searching Gift Cards

• Export Gift Cards:

  Export gift cards in different formats, such as Excel or PDF, by clicking the export button.

• Change Number of Entries:

  Adjust the number of entries displayed on the current page using the entries button.

• Search for Gift Cards:

  Use the search button to find specific gift cards.

• Navigate Pages:

  Move to the next or previous page using the navigation buttons.

Applying a Gift Card During a Sale

1. At Checkout:

   Enter the card number during the checkout process.

2. Select Payment Method:

   Choose the Gift Card payment method and enter the card code.

3. Verification:

   Shoply will verify the value and expiry date of the card. If the information is correct, the value of the gift card will be applied to the current sale transaction.
