By dividing products into specific categories, it becomes easier for sellers and users to search for products and organize the store effectively. Lies in enabling sellers to organize products according to their different categories. This makes it easier to display products at the Point of Sale and provides the user with a smoother shopping experience. Additionally, product segmentation enhances inventory tracking capabilities, reducing errors and making stock management easier.

Adding a New Category

To add a new category in the Shoply System, follow these steps:

Product Categories > Add Category

  1. On the main screen, go to the side menu and click on Products.
  2. From the dropdown menu, choose Product Categories, then click on Add Category.
  3. A screen will appear asking you to enter the new category information, such as:
    • Code: Used to uniquely identify the category.
    • Name: Enter the category name, such as Toys, Sports Equipment, or Televisions and Audio.
    • Image: You can choose a suitable image that represents the category.
  4. After entering the required information, click on Add Category to complete the process.

Editing a Category

To edit an existing category, follow these steps:

Product Categories > Product Category List > Edit

  1. Go to Product Categories from the side menu.
  2. On the main screen, you will find a list of existing categories. Search for the category you wish to edit.
  3. Click the Edit button next to the desired category.
  4. Edit the data you want to change, such as the name or image, then click Save Changes.

Managing Categories

Managing categories requires regular updates to ensure they align with changes to the products in the Point of Sale. Some key points in managing categories include:
