When you change a DNS record, the change does not show up for everyone at once. It spreads around the world step by step, and that is normal.
Why there is a delay
Internet providers keep a temporary copy of your domain's records to speed up browsing. That copy stays until its set time (TTL) runs out, and then it is refreshed with the new value.
What to expect
- You may see the change hours before other people do.
- Spreading usually finishes within a few hours up to a full day.
- Lowering the TTL beforehand speeds up planned updates.
- Avoid changing it again while it is still spreading.
